Bored (Ruby and Anna)

fallenwithfaith:

Anna was sorely tempted to stare when Ruby pulled off her shirt, but then her lips were on Anna’s and suddenly touching was so much higher on her priority list than looking. She ran her hands over the smooth skin of her abdomen, feeling the lean muscles underneath. Anna could feel Ruby’s hinting fingertips on her back and decided she was overdressed. She pulled off her shirt and helped Ruby tug off her jeans. Ruby had been right; the night was getting cold. Thankfully Ruby seemed to be giving off heat in waves, and Anna wondered how she ever thought she wanted to spend the night alone.

Looking into Ruby’s eyes was like looking into the sun. Thankfully, she didn’t have to do so for long, because then they were kissing again, and Ruby’s body pressing up against hers was so much more. In another life it would have been overwhelming, but Anna needed to be overwhelmed right now. Needed to give in to something and accept that she didn’t have control, and that was okay. She melted into Ruby’s touch.

Ruby pulled off her shirt to encourage Anna to touch more of her skin. She then latched her lips onto Anna’s, nipping and sucking and begging entrance with her tongue. She wrapped a fist in that fiery silk of red hair and tugged playfully. There was something about long hair that she’d never get enough of, and it just made such good leverage in bed. With one careful hand, she pulled Anna’s shirt from her jeans and placed her palm on Anna’s back, teasing at her waistband with one fingertip.

Anna laughed, letting out the tension that had flared up since their kiss. “Smite you? Ruby, I told you I wouldn’t do that. Besides, I don’t think I have enough power to smite a fly right now, even if I wanted to. It was totally okay. Better than okay, actually.” She looked at Ruby, suddenly shy. “Wouldn’t mind if you wanted to do it again.”

Ruby didn’t need to be told twice. She cupped Anna’s face in her hand and brought their lips together again, gently this time, kissing lightly at first, then growing more needy. She pulled closer, sliding a hesitant arm around Anna’s waist. She wasn’t sure how far the angel wanted to go, but Ruby felt like she was on fire and only the touch of Anna’s cool skin soothed her.

“No,” Anna said, confused. “You aren’t dreaming. Unless I am too. Always a possibility, I guess. I don’t think I am though. You did just kiss me…right?”

"Uh, yeah. Pretty much. So…" Ruby bit her lip and tried to stare anywhere but Anna’s face. "That was okay? You aren’t going to smite me or anything?"

Bored (Ruby and Anna)

fallenwithfaith:

The moment Ruby kissed her Anna forgot how to think, how to breathe. She knew this was a bad idea, but for the life of her she couldn’t remember why and she couldn’t bring herself to care. Ruby’s lips were hot on hers, like fire or capsaicin—the feeling was electric. When they pulled apart there was fear in Ruby’s eyes, and Anna pulled back on instinct. “What?” she asked, “What is it? What’s wrong?”

Ruby shook her head. That wasn’t the reaction she’d been expecting. She had just kissed her, and Anna wasn’t even mad. She actually looked concerned. What the Hell? “Nothing,” she said defensively. “I mean, wait, you aren’t pissed? Did I pass out or something, am I dreaming?”

Same could be said of you. *laughs* That is exactly what I’m saying. On the bright side, Micah is a good guy. So it didn’t go badly.

Oh stop it, you. *joins in with the laughter* Good to hear. There aren’t enough good guys out there. Hell knows I’ve met my share who seemed like nice guys, but turned out to be hiding their share of secrets. Nia is a great judge of character, I’m sure, but I’d keep a watchful eye, none the less.

First time I met him, he had no idea I was Nia’s mother. He thinks quite highly if Nia though. Hell, I liked him enough I gave him a bottle of whiskey.

Hard not to think highly of Nia, but a bottle of whiskey from Cord? That’s how you know you’re good people!

Anna blushed and forgot to breath for a moment. If she had been drinking something no doubt she would have sprayed it everywhere. “Oh, uh. I have.” She shrugged awkwardly. “Not a big deal. Angels, of course, are indifferent to sexual orientation, but I was a human when that particular kiss took place, so I guess even then, I wasn’t picky in that regard.” She could tell what Ruby was hinting at, not so subtly. She was just suddenly nervous and flustered and not sure how to tell her that. Was this really happening?

Ruby rolled her eyes. “Wow, angel, are you really that dense?” She leaned forward and pulled Anna into a chaste kiss before she could lose her nerve. The spicy scent in Anna’s hair apparently extended to her lips as well. It was intoxicating. Suddenly, Ruby remembered exactly why this was a bad idea. Anna was an angel. Ruby was a demon. If there was ever an excuse for Anna to smite her, Ruby had just given her one.

I know how he puts up with you. You’re awesome. I mean it. *winks* Question a guy, like interrogate? As in, to his intentions towards Nia? Wow, how’d that go?

He chuckled, dryly. “Well, for one, I’ve been on the run from everything for over a thousand years, so that way. I also got lucky, or unlucky, depending on your view of things.” He looked at Ruby, straightening his posture. “What’s it like.”

“Sounds lucky to me. Trust me, you don’t want to visit. It’s Hell. I’d have to drink considerably more than this to want to relive that experience, thanks.” She took a healthy swallow from her glass.

“Amen to that, sister.” He followed her, emptying his glass for a second time. “So, Ruby. Pass times? Hobbies?” He inquired, genuinely interested.

"Well, drinking is a big one," she said, raising the glass, "for example. I’ve got a horse I love to ride, but she’s in the next state over, running wild until I can go back and get her. I like food. Uh, oh! You’re a warlock, well, I’m witch. Used to be, anyway. I can’t make magic out of thin air like you can, but I’m pretty handy with a spellbook."

Jadeit rolled his eyes. “Really? Cause I’m pretty sure everyone except me is in hell.” He mumbled, downing the rest of his drink. “Well, look and bow, sweetie, I’m the Alpha Warlock, or whatever you guys call it.” He shook hi empty glass, which filled rapidly.

“I didn’t get to do a whole lot of fraternizing in Hell. It was mostly torture, fire, and torment for me. Nice place, though. So how did you evade that welcoming committee?”
